Have you ever hear about the nuns’ study? 🛐⛪️
180 Catholic nuns took part in a study lasting over 70 years. When they were around 22 years old in 1930s and 1940s, they were asked to write a short autobiography and insights on what the future is going to be. ✍️These autobiographies then were studied and evaluated on negative, neutral and positive words and sentences. 🎆Based on emotional content, these women were put in 4 groups 45 each. Here are the results:
1. 45 happiest nuns lived 🔟 years! longer compared to 45 most unhappy ones
2. More than 90% of the happiest nuns were still alive at the age of 85+ 👵
3. 54% of the happiest nuns lived 94+ years compared to only 15% of unhappy nuns to reach that age 💯
This research is invaluable due to fact that they all led the same life: they don’t drink, don’t smoke, eat the same food, no kids or family (not married), they live in the same building, work the same job. This research showed that happiness 😊 has little to do with what’s going on in our lives and depends a lot on what attitude we have.
🥇If happiness becomes your priority, the longevity of life might be a great side effect!
